Auslogics Anti-Malware can protect your system from various types of malware, mostly those that may go unnoticed by your main antivirus product. The application has a nice and intuitive interface and it is unlikely that anyone can have problems to use it. This AV tool checks not only the data on your disk but also system memory to detect running malicious processes. Likewise, it can protect your privacy by deleting tracking cookies from your browser. Moreover, it checks auto-start items and any suspicious registry entries.
The tool features three different types of scans that differ not only on the time they take but also the safety they provide. That is why, it is not recommendable to run quick scans only. In this regard, the safest way is to perform a deep scan every now and then. The third type of scan, called Custom, lets you select specific areas. However, unlike other similar products, this one does not integrate with the shell, so it is not possible to scan a single folder via right clicking. Fortunately, you can run not only on-demand analyses but also schedule them with a particular frequency as well as pick those areas you need to scan. Finally, there was also a feature that caught my attention: it is called Windows 10 and has been specifically intended minimize security threats coming from faulty system configuration.
All in all, Auslogics Anti-Malware is effective as an additional protection to your system but should not be used as your main AV software. Luckily, it does not conflict with any antimalware program. The application is powered by Symantec and has been ranked among the ten best tools of its type; however, these same lists show that there are other more reliable applications. This product is shareware; yet, its free version is limited to detecting threats.
